  • The Problem: The equipment dealer needed to expand his shop. With costs increasing for a conventional steel building, Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) were chosen for the construction of the new shop. While SIPs have many benefits related to construction costs and energy efficiency they provided challenges for installing a crane system.

  • The Solution: With no steel building columns to support or reinforce the crane runways, Skarnes Inc. designed a completely free standing steel structure. The 3 ton monobox crane spans 87 ft travels 90 Ft with a hook height of 18 ft. The dealer is thrilled that with no columns in the middle of shop they're able to work on even the largest planters and combines.
